In as much as I want to write (edited version)

30 October, 2006

*sigh* almost made it to the dean's list. tisk. lacking .2 (point two) lang.. haaayzzz... but it's awkey... i didn't ask for it anyway. mwah!

***************************************

it's been 2 weeks since i've started turning the pages of the philosophically written "Sophie's World", and yet, I am not done reading it.

Nevertheless, I am glad i've started reading it. it's an introductory book about philosophy with a somewhat course history of the greatest philosophers of all time (even some scientist, i never knew were philosophers!)

the whole thing circles on philosophy, it's history, background, evolution and how people have compensated with their curiousity thoughout ages resulting to open up various feilds and ideas that gradually became the foundation of Science.

Sophie Amudsun Amudsen :
  • The girl who constantly receives post cards from Hilde's Dad (that is sent to her mysteriously) and some written papers about philosophy form from Alberto Knox
  • She's such an attentive student. No, not in school calss, in philosophy class. In every after reading sessions, there's always a thought that pops in her head, even at point of talking to her mom beyond what is expected of her to blap about.

Alberto Know Knox :

  • I'm not quite sure if he's the brother of the owner of the cabin across the river or he's the fatehr of Hilde or even Sophie! at this point, it's still a mystery.
  • A determined philosophy teacher. Brilliant and wise. he's also like rat. He's got tons of vintage collection even from pre-socratic period!
  • he's responsible for Sophie's private study of philosophy.

Hilde Moller Knag :

  • The mysterious daughter of someone from Lebanon. I suspect she is the daughter of Alberto.

Hilde's Dad Albert Knag :

  • The one who intentionally "mistakes" the sending of post cards to Sophie and always leaves a thought/ question for Sophie to ponder the whole day.

In General :

I think the character of Alberto Knox is foolinf the readers. The post cards of Hilde's Dad that are delivered by morning seem to be coherent to the lessons he teachers Sophie before sundown. Yet he insists that he has no connection whatsoever with Hilde's Dad. But one time, he slipped and called Sophie, Hilde. (actually twice) hmmmmm.... I still have to know why. Eeeeerrr!! so mysterious book! Eager to read it. Eeeeeekkkk!! and so far i'm still in the middle and I've been eying on it for 2 friggin weeks! :P

that's all for now.

well, atleast my post now is making some sense. bwaaaaahaha! ^_^

Why?

26 October, 2006

Why do I think of him when I open my eyes?
Why do I think of him when I check my fone?
Why do I think of him when I get up from bed?
Why do I think of him when I look at myself in the mirror?

Why do I think of him when I near the breakfast table?
Why do I think of him when I touch the spoon and fork?
Why do I think of him when I swallow the food?
Why do I think of him when I wash the dishes?
Why do I think of him when I take the shower?
Why do I think of him when I get dressed?
Why do I think of him when I groom myself?
Why do I think of him when I put some powder and make-up on?

Why do I think of him when my cellphone beeps?
Why do I think of him when our landline rings?
Why do I think of him when I log on to the computer?
Why do I think of him when I blog?
Why do I think of him when I turn the t.v. set on?

Why do I think of him when I go out of our house?
Why do I think of him when I take a walk alone?
Why do I think of him when I ride the jeepney?
Why do I think of him when I reached the jeepney stop?

Why do I think of him when I go to the malls?
Why do I think of him when I watch a movie?
Why do I think of him when I eat alone?

Why do I think of him when someone hugs me?
Why do I think of him when someone holds my hand?
Why do I think of him when someone brushes my hair?
Why do I think of him when someone covers my eyes?
Why do I think of him everytime the wind blows smoothly on my face?

Why do I think of him when I sit at one corner?
Why do I think of him when I look at people?
Why do I think of him when I someone approaches me from behind?
Why do I think of him when I talk to myself?

Why do I think of him when I wait for the jeepney going home?
Why do I think of him when I am in the jeepney, going home?
Why do I think of him when I reach our place?

Why do I think of him when I lay myself in bed?
Why do I think of him when I hug my pillow?
Why do I think of him when I close my eyes?
Why do I think of him when I imagine things before sleeping?

why, oh why?...

...when in fact, he DOES NOT exist.

Blah. Blah. Blah

22 October, 2006

Blah. Blah. Blah.

i don't have my own ideas to write but i might as well write about the things my senses have percieved. before writing this entry i peregrinated to some blog users. reading their post, feeling their emotions, understanding their insights. there are some who use blogs as means to expell their emotions, others as dairies or journals but i give much salutations to those who use blogs as means to share their insights.

i am currently reading a philosophical book. no, i'm not going to mention the title. so far soo good. the book is giving me much understanding as how people think and come to fully comprehend the intensity of the passion the greatest philosophers of all time had. first, they questioned, then they search the answer. there were some who were brilliant enough to be vigilant of their actions... aware that not only reasons can link the answer to the question but as well as senses which others say, not reliable. but yes, they are.

as i was wandering through other people's online journal, i say human are entirely capable of thinking and of feeling. there was a time when i questioned God (when i got stuck outside our house) Lord, why did you allow your creations to have a mind of their own? to have a feeling of their own? Are You aware and know that perhaps in the middle you might lose them? they have a mind of their own and thus capable of deciding for themselves... don't you feel bad that most of your creations recognize your presence only when their decisions become wrong? Your being only seem to be a mere refugee site in times of life "tsunamis." don't you think it's unfair on your part? Yes, i know the essence of Love is oblviously reflected here. but, it's generously selfish. And why are they capable of feeling? of aching to be exact. I don't get the logic why You have to let them experience pain. Thus this follow the rule of "in order to die, you have to live"? they have to experience pain for them to experience comfort? can't you make it no pain and more comfort? anyway, those who have surpassed pain are living pleasantly now. But how about those who are trap in the middle of their struggle? You said, love. Is Your love not strong enough to end their misery?

in fact, the minds of the people are too complex. it has become too complex because of knowledge, experiences, learnings. as much as these things continue to evolve, as more and more informations, experiences and insights land in the minds of the people, the complexity is beyond our call. far beyond our command.

i give special credits to the people whose blog entries depict a man/woman of great desire to question, to search and to satisfy one's life mysteries and questions. thank you for inspiring me.

photoshop vectors!!

21 October, 2006

ok. i don't know why they call this vectors. but what the heck. basta, i know na. weeeee!!! yey!!! finaly.. i look like any other cartoons. haha. i've always wanted to look like a cartoon. as you know, the moment i turn on the t.v. it's either NICKELODEON or CARTOON NETWORK that i tune in to. (we don't have disney. sigh) And i've been dying to see what i would look like if i was a cartoon. i once saw a program that would instantly change a pic into an animated image. but that was with my previous computer teacher, fr. ogie. and i think it came with the program he was using for his camera so i don't think i would have that program ever. now, i heard about this vector thing in photoshop. i read the tutorial site. at first, i tried following it step by step. but neh.. i wasn't able to follow. now, on one unexpected time and day... i was able to make my own with out even having a reference, just me and whatever i could recall on that tutorial site! neat! hehe. so there.. the vectors.. what i did the whole afternoon and i wasn't able to finish my laundry because of this. tisk. and oh, yeah.. i kinda look dark.haha. pocahontas effect. :D neh.. don't care. basta, i know na! weee! ;)
